Thank you for your interest in 5 Rivers Taxidermy.

We are now accepting

My studio is located at 157 Chase Loop in Benton, Kentucky.  It is located one half block north of Kentucky Lake Outdoor World off Highway 641 North in Benton.

As a full-service taxidermy studio, no job is too small or too large.  I am a graduate of the Pennsylvania Institute of Taxidermy where I learned the latest in methods, materials, and workmanship.  I attended a Bird Taxidermy Master Skills workshop with Stefan Savides in Klamath Falls, Oregon.  I also attended a class on Form Alteration and Habitat with Jason Snowberger at the Academy of Wildlife Art.  I do all my own work from skinning (some tanning may be sent out) all the way to finish grooming or paint.  All work is done according to reference photos.  I can also provide lifelike habitats for any mount.  Your trophy will look like it did in life, not how someone thinks it should look!

My goal is to provide quality work at a reasonable price and in a reasonable time frame. Pricing will be done during a visit to the studio or by phone/e-mail. I will give you an estimated amount of time that it will take to get your trophy back.  I always hope to get it back as quickly as possible but sometimes things happen that are beyond my control.  I ask that you do not call or drop by to check on progress until close to the estimated finish time.

You will be notified by phone when your trophy is ready.  If I cannot reach you by phone, you will be notified by mail.  You will have 30 days from the time you are notified to pay the balance owed and pick the trophy up.  After 30 days, you will be assessed a $5/day storage fee.  If your trophy is not picked up after next 30 days, it becomes the property of 5 Rivers Taxidermy and will be disposed of by any legal means.

All work requires a 50% deposit before mounting begins.  You will have no more than 14 days to pay the deposit.  Large items will/may be skinned immediately due to limited freezer space.  If item is picked up after any work is done, skinning included, it is subject to loss of the deposit.

Any work done is subject to being photographed and possibly pictured on my website or photo albums.  All photos are the property of 5 Rivers Taxidermy.

All work done by 5 Rivers is guaranteed for the life of the original owner.  Any damage due to material or paint defects, breakage, or workmanship is covered.  Hair or feather loss is not covered.  Damage due to insects, humidity, smoke or heat, or intentional abuse/neglect is not covered.

All tanning or preserving is at the owner’s risk. Most large animal capes and hides will be sent out to a professional tannery. I do some capes and most smaller skins in-house. I use the latest techniques and materials in my work but sometimes specimens have issues that make them unusable.  Any hides or skins that are bad may be replaced at the owner’s expense after notification.

If you are pleased with the finished work or what you see on the 5 Rivers Taxidermy website, I appreciate you telling your friends and family.  If you are not pleased for any reason, I expect you to tell me in order that I may rectify the situation.

Thank you for placing your confidence in my ability to preserve your trophy for a lifetime of enjoyment.
